To kick things off, there's politics. Because the fair wants to become more political. And that's why the German Minister of Economics was there. Then I test-drove an alternative to the car in the city - with pedals - also from Germany.
And then I heard the opinions of some branding experts on the trade fair presence of the participating companies - which were not so good.

Welcome to the Micromobility Update from 12 of July 2022. I'm Hans Dorsch - today directly from the Eurobike in Frankfurt - and immediately a few hours late. I apologise for that. But the first day is always a bit stressful. When your train is late, the entrance to the fair you chose is closed. And the corridors that connect the halls are very long. But there are moving walkways that speed up walking. That's fun. I'm looking forward to the next few days.
